The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and The Walt Disney Company have joined forces to invest $1 million in public play spaces. This collaboration, called Meet Me at The Park, will award grants that range between $10,000 and $50,000 to agencies with the most innovative projects.
The organizations came together over the shared the goal of providing families and children more access to play spaces across the United States, officials said.
Park and recreation agencies in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories can share their plans for giving children and family greater access to play space in their area. Winners will receive grants to build their projects.
