Former Aquatics International owner, publisher and industry pioneer Jules Field died Feb. 9 of pneumonia in Orange County, Calif. He was 92.

The industry elder statesman owned and published this magazine and Pool & Spa News until they were purchased by Hanley Wood in June 2001.

A memorial service will take place on March 8 in Hollywood, Calif. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Los Angeles Times Family Fund’s Summer Camp Campaign or Doctors Without Borders. A full-length tribute to Field will appear in a future issue.
