PHTA Scholarship Recipients Named

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance has named five scholarship recipients for 2022.The PHTA Fellowship Program supports graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who perform research related to aquatics facilities. Graham Lamb will receive a $2,000 Board Fellowship. Pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he is involved in two research studies: regenerative media filter and how effectively it removes cryptosporidium; and measuring parameters such as chlorine, pH and alkalinity at Charlotte-area venues.

The PHTA Scholarship Program was created for public pool or spa operators receiving education to better protect public health. This year’s recipients are Emily Broom, University of Central Florida; and Colton Morris, Arkansas Tech University. Each received $2,000. Others received $1,000 scholarships: Jason Marsh, Volunteer State Community College; Meghan Partrick, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
