Accesso, a technology provider to leisure and entertainment markets, has acquired The Experience Engine (TE2), a technology company specializing in personalized marketing. The $80 million deal is the Twyford, England-headquartered firm’s largest acquisition to date.

San Diego-based TE2 was founded in 2013 as a technology solution to personalize customer experience in theme park, travel, hospitality, and health care industries. Its platform-as-a-service (PaaS) product uses digital technology to engage guests before, during, and after visits. The data can be used to track consumer behaviors and react in real-time with ways to cross-sell and up-sell.

Accesso plans to integrate TE2’s technology into its existing products to make experiences more customized for park guests. In addition to dry park products, accesso makes waterproof ride reservation products, Qband and accesso Prism, exclusively for waterparks.

“Parks can utilize connected devices to access personalized insights into guest demographics, patterns and past behavior to gain a better understanding of real-time needs and offer targeted solutions based on location, time, day and context.,” said Tara Morandi, vice president of marketing for accesso.

Accesso has offices around the world, including one in Orlando.
