Now Accepting Submissions for July’s Summer Lifeguard Challenge

Four rescuers and one victim in a drill that emphasis repetition, repetition, repetition.

July’s Summer Lifeguard Challenge is a bit complicated, so pay close attention to AI’s resident lifeguard expert Pete DeQuincy’s instructions in the video above.

This one is all about repetition, requiring rescuers to make repeated laps between the victim and the wall of the pool.

Timing is critical. Lifeguards need to stay on pace — not too fast or too slow.

When you feel your team has this drill down, film it and email the video to pdequincy@ebparks.org by Tuesday, July 31.

Good luck!
